MIRA HEPTURK

About

Mira Heptürk is an İstanbul-based director and multidisciplinary artist. She began her career on film sets alongside her mother before she even knew how to speak. At 16, Heptürk created her first short film, developed through the New York Film Academy’s program in Paris at the renowned La Fémis film school.

She served as the assistant director on the 17-minute short film Sadece, which was officially selected and screened at the Bamberg Short Film Festival. Her cinematic language is deeply shaped by the sociocultural chaos, urban contrasts, and rich visual diversity of living in İstanbul.

Currently still a high school student, Heptürk actively expands her creative repertoire across 3D art, photography, and graphic design seamlessly integrating these visual disciplines into her approach to narrative storytelling.

Versatile filmmaker and production professional with comprehensive hands-on experience across pre-production, principal photography, and post-production in independent short films. Proven expertise spanning direction, producing, film editing, lighting (gaffer), and on-screen performance.
